For Nancy Farrar, anything food-related is her playground and she knows that presentation is everything. Nancy is a professional food photographer known for having an exquisite eye for capturing the flavors and aromas of food through her images. Her distinctive style brings the viewers senses to life through color, texture and composition.
Nancy’s mouth-watering images have graced the cover and the pages of West Fort Worth Lifestyle Magazine, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, numerous restaurant websites and an array of social media sites. Nancy is the Food Columnist at Fort Worth Texas Magazine, where she shares her own recipes and cooking videos with thousands of magazine subscribers each month. She has had the honor of serving as a celebrity judge at the magazine’s Top Chef Preliminary Competition and Top Chef Finals, featuring many of the areas finest celebrity chefs.
Her food and recipe blog, Chef Impersonator, was created in 2009, and showcases not only her recipes, but her food photography work as well. She attended a casting call for a Food Network home cook competition show, where she showcased her Moroccan Chicken Tagine, and continues to wait patiently for her call-back. She serves on the Chef Recruitment Committee and is Event Lead for two signature events at the Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival, and is well known for her passion for food, dining, cooking, entertaining and traveling.
Nancy has 2 sons, Kevin, age 28, and Michael, age 24. She and husband Ed have been married for 15 years, and are known for the annual pool volleyball party they’ve been hosting at their home for the past 12 years. Nancy loves yoga, Pilates, pizza, and sitting on her patio leafing through cooking magazines. Nancy will always choose a baked potato over a chocolate cake.
